Another screenshot of your internet explorer shows that you have two google chrome (the screenshot is of two different google chrome).
Download/install Chromium for Mac.
From it shows you have to allow extensions from "Other sites".
Add a new entry to Chrome's "Site Settings" page:
Make the entry look like this:
"name": "Chrome Site Settings",
"onClick": "Site Settings"
When you visit the new chrome, you can remove the old google chrome.
The description is gone due to the following reasons:
The extension did not have the permission to add a description, so it could not update the about: page.
There was no extension of that name available. This happens when the extension is not installed properly.
As you can see in the screenshot below, the extension "JetBrains PyCharm Professional v 2017.12" is the only extension which is listed in about:addons. If you are sure that you are running the latest version of this extension, your data should be safe.
You can also find your data in the "My Data" dialog (button on the right), under the "Extensions" section.
There are two entries for each extension:
"Extensions" (one row for each extension)
"My Data" (one row for each extension and installation)
One row is for the actual extension that you currently have installed, and the other row is for the currently active extension.
