Virtual Programming released expansion packs for Majesty 2 for Mac OS X, as well as a new time traveling first person shooter (FPS), Darkest of Days. The Majesty 2 expansions, Kingmaker and Battles of Ardania, add new missions and features, while Darkest of Days puts the player in the role of a time traveler who must travel back to key battles in history to protect historical figures important to the space-time continuum.
Cavort through over forty challenging missions, stretching across four fiendishly difficult campaigns. Each packed with an absolute treasure of new features providing the most aristocratic of experiences for budding kings and queens. Players can consort with a number of new heroes, construct a number of new buildings to unlock a succession of eminently powerful abilities and potent guild spells. All these and more will help defeat the numerous new monsters and former subjects aiming to usurp 'your majesty' from their throne.
Majesty 2 is indeed an RTS oddity, if not always in the way the developers may have intended. Its single player campaign is a complicated and addictive experience, but certain elements stop it from ever feeling as deep as it should. Conversely, the multiplayer has a greater deal of complexity but battles are often time-consuming. 2b1af7f3a8
